Bengal election results: Expert view The momentum is in favour of the Trinamool. It has been observed in almost all elections that towards the latter rounds of counting, the bump is in favour of the party which has the leads or momentum. Mamata Banerjee injured in Nandigram; some people pushed me , Bengal CM says
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday suffered an injury to her leg during election campaigning in Nandigram. The Trinamool Congress chief alleged that she was pushed by some unidentified people. The 66-year-old leader also reportedly suffered bruises on her face. I was standing near the car when 4-5 people suddenly came and pushed me. My leg was crushed. This is a conspiracy against me. There were no policemen around me, Mamata, visibly in pain, told reporters.
The chief minister was brought to Kolkata s SSKM Hospital by road from Nandigram for treatment. A green corridor was created for Mamata s convoy. A Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan was conducted on Mamata late Wednesday night.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday was admitted to Kolkata s SSKM hospital for treatment after her claim that she was pushed by 4-5 people, during her election campaign in Nandigram. The Chief Minister alleged she was manhandled during the campaign because of which she was injured in the left leg.
The incident happened around 6.15 pm when Banerjee was about to leave Birulia area near Reyapara after praying at a local temple.
