Participants needed to understand attitudes towards COVID vaccine
With vaccinations for Coronavirus soon to roll out across Australia, a research team from The University of Western Australia and the Wesfarmers Centre of Vaccines and Infectious Diseases at Telethon Kids Institute is seeking Western Australian study participants to learn more about community attitudes towards COVID vaccines.
In particular, the researchers are seeking health care workers, those in aged care, and people over the age of 65 to participate in the study.
Some of the questions they are seeking answers to include if and why people want a vaccine, people’s thoughts on getting a COVID vaccine compared to other vaccines and any concerns they may have about a vaccine or vaccination policies. ....

The GRDC’s Western Region Grower Network held three ‘Summer Sesh’ Local Forum events in January. The meetings were held at Abbey Beach Resort, Broadwater (19 January), Centenary Stadium, Albany (21 January) and Esperance Bay Yacht Club (22 January).
A total of 133 guests attended the three events and there was some good discussion around topics of high interest.

Brad Blyth leaves to start new exciting chapter .
Flybuys chief technology officer Brad Blyth has announced his departure from the loyalty program company after almost two-and-half years.
Blyth said via a LinkedIn post he was proud of the work achieved at Flybuys through the current pandemic.  
“As the new year kicks off, my time at Flybuys draws to an end. I’m very proud of all the outcomes we’ve been able to achieve over the years, especially the ones under unprecedented circumstances, he wrote.
“I look forward to seeing the next generation of “Flybuyers” take it to the next level. I start my new exciting chapter soon!” ....

Soybeans that we were sending to china or various other things that china buys as raw material and processes. we just don t have the infrastructure or other markets to sell that into. so that is one that s going to affect this trade war. yes, very much so. i think this latest shot is actually going to have a direct impact, especially on sfarmers. so china accounts for 60% of the soybean market. if you look at the impact on farmers, it s about half of what was so last year to china agriculture goods, that s how much it s dropped over the course of one year because of this trade war. the white house is now earmarking $28 billion to support farmers who can t sell their products but i don t expect this will be the last, it s just the latest tit for tat. linda, good to talk to you as always. linda yu, author of what would the great economists do? ....
