Contractors named on £330m modular framework
Seventeen firms have been named on a new public sector modular buildings framework worth around £330m.
Local authorities, social landlords and other public groups will be able to hire specialist suppliers to design, build and install modular buildings across the UK. The framework, which has been set up by public sector procurement specialist LHC, is set to last until May 2025.
LHC expects up to £250m of work to be procured in England, £60m in Scotland and £20m in Wales. Projects will focus on education, healthcare, emergency services, offices and other community buildings such as sport facilities. LHC said residential or student developments could also be delivered through the framework.
