BOWLING GREEN, O. Medical Mutual of Ohio has announced that it is contributing $1 million to assist with the development of Bowling Green State University’s new Optimal Aging Institute (OAI).
As northwest Ohio’s aging population grows, the University and Medical Mutual, the state’s oldest and largest Ohio-based health insurance company, are working together on a new initiative designed to help senior citizens live longer, healthier lives and to create new wellness programs for older adults on and off campus.
Through the University’s Center of Excellence for Health and Wellness Across the Lifespan, the institute’s mission is tied to the seven dimensions of elder wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, cultural and occupational.    ....
