A lot of you and your ilk, your type, your prosecutor-time, weissman, these folks, you like paper cases, wire fraud cases. that s part of what he s facing. why? wire fraud cases are easier to make. i like other cases that are a little more exciting. but look, this is a strong case. coupled with lots of statements that he made already to the public about his line, and even though those lies may not be particularly relevant to the charges at hand, they likely will also be admissible because they re admissions of him that speak to motive, intent, opportunity, and so for example, the statement about lying about college, i mean, that s all part of the whole plan here to get into the house of representatives both as a means and an end. mm-hmm. right, which again, it goes to corrupt intent. if you reach a jury and they hear those admissions, it s tough. the jury is not going to like ....
