A potent nor’easter piling up snow from Virginia through New England is expected to bring the coldest air of the season to South Florida with possible wind chill temperatures in the 30s.
While the Sunshine State has had a spate of cold fronts this winter, including a Christmas chill that brought a 41-degree morning on Dec. 26, National Weather Service meteorologists said this punch of arctic air is coming with the added threat of wind.
Tuesday’s sunrise temperature is forecast to dip to 45 degrees. But with winds gusting to 33 mph, the “feels like” temperature could dip into the upper 30s or low 40s, said National Weather Service meteorologist Larry Kelly.
