UPS driver Daniel Carmical said he was not on his traditional route. âIâm in Liberty City now. I havenât been over there in a year and a half, and it was a small amount of deliveries I had just in that one strip of Pine Tree Road. There was no point in me being over there,â he said. âI believe it was Godâs will that had me over there on Monday afternoon. Iâm glad I could help them.â ....

Elijahâs Retreat is a nonprofit in Jacksonville that provides opportunities for children with autism to experience fun activists with their families such as camping, horseback riding, hayrides, feeding animals, and more. Elijahâs Retreat is important to Beasley because he saw how it helped his brother Matthew and his nephew Marshall who both have autism and he wants to give other kids who have autism the same experience. Beasley will be letting kids take pictures with his car and sit in it. ....
UT Tyler, Tyler Junior College students give back to community with Big Event UTT TJC GIVING BACK By Justin Honore | April 17, 2021 at 4:31 PM CDT - Updated April 17 at 6:58 PM TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Students from UT Tyler and Tyler Junior College came together Saturday morning to serve the community in what they call The East Texas Big Event. During this event, students volunteered their time and services to local non-profit and other city organizations by helping them renovate certain areas. Some students picked up trash around downtown and at the creek in City Park. Other students painted traffic meters, flowerpots, and handrails, changed light bulbs, and cleaned windows for several buildings. According to UT Tyler Assistant Director for Student Engagement Camry Tharp, this was an activity that students were looking forward to because of the unusual year they have had. ....
