Ebbon-Dacs reports European growth
Ebbon-Dacs says it has seen “dynamic” growth across the European Union for its Leaselink e-procurement platform, despite the impact of the Europe-wide lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Group has now expanded into a number of different European fleet markets, including France, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Italy, where clients are, or are about to, deploy its full range of technological solutions.
The European expansion has been accelerated by Ebbon-Dacs being appointed by a major, international leasing provider which will utilise the whole suite of its products but which is unable to be named for confidentiality reasons. This should ultimately see Ebbon-Dacs provide solutions in 24 of the countries in which the international leasing company operates.
More than two thirds (70%) of cars and LCVs currently being used commercially in the UK could be replaced by electric models, according to new research from Webfleet Solutions, a telematics solution provider.
The research from the Bridgestone-owned company is based on anonymised and aggregated driving data from around 100,000 connected vehicles, operated by more than 5,000 fleet customers across Europe.
By using the Fleet Electrification Planning Report, a new feature of the Webfleet fleet management solution, recommendations can be made on which ICE vehicles can be replaced with electric alternatives, based on daily driven distances.
It was concluded, for the purposes of the research, that if a vehicle drove less than 300km per day over a 12-month period, it could be replaced with an EV. The 300km maximum daily driving distance was chosen to reflect the average range of the most common, available electric car and LCV models.

Webfleet Solutions has announced that Mercedes-Benz has joined its OEM.connect telematics programme.
This means that Mercedes-Benz cars, as well as vans, with line-fitted connectivity, can be connected with Webfleet s platform without the need for extra hardware to be installed. Instead, all that s needed to connect is the car s VIN.
OEM.connect allows access to Webfleet features including fleet performance reporting, trip data, GPS tracking, and fuel consumption data, as well as instant notifications about vehicle diagnostics, such as tyre pressure warnings.
All vehicle data is displayed in the Webfleet interface, and can also be accessed via a mobile app.
