Between today and May 6, we can expect some rainfall activity. Thereafter, there may be dry weather conditions over the city. Then, sultry weather may make a comeback.
In fact, as far as rains are concerned, this spell is expected to be a slightly long one. Rains may continue for another week with varied intensity. Most heavy rains will be seen in the next 24 hours, which will be reduced thereafter.
While landfall will take place only during the night hours, the forward band of clouds will reach the coast much faster which means, Chennai rains will intensify anytime now.
The capital city can expect a wet spell with heavy rains between 20th and 22nd Nov. The situation will ease out on 23rd Nov and near normal later, for the rest of the week.
We can expect rains to possibly slow down a little over Chennai today itself. There may be moderate showers today but by tomorrow, rains may reduce in intensity with light rains and one odd moderate rains.
