What s socially or politically acceptable, but if you lose in the court of public opinion, you have a big issue. we are going to hear from people at goldman sachs, a firm that rarely speaks to the public. the chief financial officer, a couple of people who were profiled as top secret in the wall street journal a couple of years ago. we re finally going to hear them speak. it s going to be pretty incredible just to hear them try to make this case. they have a lot to lose. if they succeed in telling everybody we weren t better, smarter and fast e, that hurts their reputation and perhaps their stock. then there s your point. this is business as usual in many other firms. if it s wrong here, it s wrong in other places and that could hurt financial results for a lot of these companies. have either of you, eamon, has anyone heard whether the s.e.c. is about to take action ....
