Duluth, Northland Set Record High Temperatures Tuesday
It looks like March is going down in the record books! Well, it looks like one March day for sure is going down in them.
The Duluth area and surrounding Northland broke records on Tuesday (March 9th) thanks to a nice, warm day that was a far cry from what we saw the month prior.
According to several media outlets, including WDIO Chief Meteorologist Justin Liles, Duluth hit a record high of fifty-five degrees on Tuesday, breaking the record high for the date by one degree.
Several other areas, like Ashland, Hibbing and beyond, also broke the record for their high temperatures that day. Take a closer look at those details below:
We have been talking A LOT about winter and weather around here because there has been so much to talk about in that department. Cold snaps! Arctic air! Record-breaking temperatures!

WDIO Meteorologist Brandon Weathers shared yet another exciting statistic on his Facebook page Wednesday (February 17) that you really need to see to believe! According to his report, we have seen nearly ten days of twenty-below temperatures in the Duluth area.
