COA thanks boys soccer team
The Wayland Council on Aging would like to commend and thank the Wayland High School Boys Soccer Team for its day of service to Wayland seniors in June.
This fundraiser was a win-win for the team and for the Town: the boys performed yard work and other outdoor chores for seniors in town who signed up for help. Wayland businesses and residents sponsored the work through donations. The team completed 80 hours of work for nearly 20 seniors.
This is community life at its best, and we are grateful to the team for building a bridge across the generations and helping their Wayland neighbors.  ....
