COA thanks boys soccer team The Wayland Council on Aging would like to commend and thank the Wayland High School Boys Soccer Team for its day of service to Wayland seniors in June. This fundraiser was a win-win for the team and for the Town: the boys performed yard work and other outdoor chores for seniors in town who signed up for help. Wayland businesses and residents sponsored the work through donations. The team completed 80 hours of work for nearly 20 seniors. This is community life at its best, and we are grateful to the team for building a bridge across the generations and helping their Wayland neighbors. ....

Special to the Crier The Wayland Cultural Council has awarded $5,415 to fund 10 cultural and arts projects. After reviewing 25 applications, awards were granted to the following organizations and projects: 1. 10th Annual Community Concert Series hosted by Wayland Council on Aging at the Town Building 2. Connect Program at Wayland High School for COVID Art Installation/Mural 3. Delvena Theater Company for a performance of “Louisa’s Girls” at the Wayland Council on Aging 4.
