, 19-year-old Anissa Weier was convicted in 2017 after she and friend Morgan Geyser stabbed classmate Payton Leutner multiple times in Waukesha Park in May 2014. All three girls were 12 at the time of the events. Bohren initially sentenced Weier to 25 years in Winnebago Mental Health Institute in December 2017, while Geyser is currently serving a maximum 40-year sentence at a mental health facility as well.
