Waterville Area Art Society has awarded two $500 scholarships to Winslow High School students Kaylee Nadeau and Paige Spears. Both students are among the top 10 WHS graduates. According to Art Instructor Suzanne Goulet, Nadeau and Spears are both among the top 20 percent of art students she has taught. Goulet also had this to say about each awardee:
“Kaylee Nadeau is an exceptional young woman who is committed to social, and environmental justice and dignity for all. Kaylee uses her artistic skills and endeavors to journey toward these ends. She is a committed and talented artist and excels in experimenting with materials and processes. She is comfortable with traditional and digital media,” according to the release from the society.
