Parts of Mote Park flooded as The River Len burst its banks after weather alert  |  Updated: 18:02, 07 January 2021 Those looking for a socially distanced walk around the lake at Mote Park may have to find an alternative route as footpaths remain flooded. The lake in Maidstone, which is part of the River Len, burst its banks submerging low lying areas of the park down the steps by the café and The Watersport Centre. Gallery1 The Environment Agency has now lifted the warnings, with just one remaining for the Upper River Stour in parts of Ashford. Water levels at Mote Park should start to fall overnight with no more heavy rain forecast until Tuesday, January 12.
