May 28 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks ended flat on Friday, as gains in resources firms were offset by losses in tech and healthcare companies, but posted their best week in more than three months as inflation fears fade.
The Hang Seng index was unchanged at 29,124.41, while the China Enterprises Index lost 0.5% to 10,793.55 points.
The Hang Seng tech index and the Hang Seng healthcare index declined 2.1% and 3.1%, respectively.
The top gainer on the Hang Seng was CK Asset Holdings Ltd , which gained 6.02%, while the biggest loser was Haidilao International Holding Ltd, which fell 6.89%. ....

ISTANBUL, May 10 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Last winter, the massive dams and reservoirs that supply water to Istanbul’s 15 million residents fell to critically low levels, sparking fears of shortages.
Late-arriving snow and rain ultimately gave Turkey’s largest city a reprieve.
But water and climate experts say the country’s water worries are far from over – and more dams are part of the problem.
“Instead of trying to reduce our water demand, or decrease the amount lost through broken pipes and leaks, we are just focused on creating more supply by building new dams,” said Akgun Ilhan, a water management expert at the Istanbul Policy Center. ....

Egypt says latest round of GERD talks are "last chance" before second dam filling

CAIRO/KINSHASA (Reuters) - The latest meeting between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam may be the last chance to re-launch talks before it is filled for the second year in a row, Egypt said in a statement on Sunday.
The meeting concludes on Monday in Kinshasa. Previous attempts at reaching agreement over the giant dam that Ethiopia is building on the Blue Nile have ended in deadlock.
Ethiopia says the dam is key to its economic development and power generation. Egypt fears it will imperil its supplies of Nile water, while Sudan is concerned about the dam’s safety and about regulating water flows through its own dams and water stations. ....
