[laughs] reporter: you are just stepping in melody. speak up your mod. reporter: what happened in here? the water was nearly up to the ceiling. it was incredible. reporter: camera video attached the kitchen filling with water overtaking equipment. now the 2-year-old restaurant is an absolute mess. it is devastating. we watched bridges, roads. the power, such force, it was moving dumpsters that were full. reporter: nearly the whole town needs rebuilding. the damage is extensive. take a look at this. a railroad track dangling at least 60 feet in the air after the storm washed the ground away. out west, in phoenix, arizona, it is a different kind of misery. a heat dome has settled in and people are just trying to cope. here is omar villafranca. reporter: after 11 straight days of temperatures of at least

another round of heavy rain. the arkansas river in tulsa, oklahoma, is near a record crest. the river spirit casino resort in tulsa, oklahoma, has been closed almost a week because of flooding. water overtaking the pool deck, t tiki bar, spa, the casino says 1,600 employees are getting paid throughout the closure. the tulsa county sheriff s office posted these photos showing dramatic flooding. oklahoma s governor saying the situation still could get worse and they re not out of woods yet. president trump wheels up from japan and on his way back to the unite. he used a memorial day address aboard a navy ship to tout his defense spending and question advances in technology. he asked u.s. sailors if they preferred steam or electric based aircraft catapults, the president suggesting the new technology was too costly and less reliable. you know, steam has only
mandatory evacuation orders remain in effect for californians. the dam is holding back some of the highest water levels since it was built. one of its spill ways has failed with more storms in the forecast. ryan young has more. dramatic instagram video shows a look at the massive amounts of water rushing from the oroville spill way in california. it s really really flooding, and it s really loud. the water overtaking trees, land and whatever else stands in its way, it s an emergency that led to frustration and confusion, as more than 180,000 residents were suddenly ordered to evacuate three counties near the dam. many resident thes stuck for hours in massive traffic jams as they left.
