People who have gone missing since the storm. officials here in the city can t even give you a precise number on that. they know some 280 people rode out the storm and there s a number of people they can t get in touch with. a big development that could help with that, at&t now has a temporary mobile cellular tower in the area that s up and working. verizon says 97% of the customers are back up and running. people say they have lost touch with the loved ones during the course of the storm and haven t been able to re-establish contact because all the communications are down. another big development as you just have so many of these water distribution points that are showing up all over the place. it doesn t seem like a big deal necessarily until you realize that so many people have had their kitchens ripped open. they don t have any plumbing. they have no running water or electricity to make the water cold and you re in this blazing florida heat. ....
reporter: not yet. people line up at one of the three water distribution points that the city has set up. the water is not drinkable, but the new news is the mayor tells us it would be a matter of days. that s better than the estimate she is was giving as recently as yesterday when she thought it would be a week or two before the water coming out of the taps would be safe. i spoke to a bo moment resident he s one of the thousands, he told me when the water first started coming out of tap, but even when he boils it, he s too afraid to drink it. so he s lined up at one of these distribution you can always hear the volunteers say keep it moving. roll down their windows, poppy in their trunk. they say you can come through this line as many times as you want, but only one case at a time. they re telling me they ve had folks going through seven or say times, because they re help get ....
