If you or someone you know has had trouble paying your water bill due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Buffalo has extended a program designed to ease some of the burden. The Water Amnesty Program waives costly late fees and interest for Buffalo residents whose water was turned off due to late or non-payment. The program has now been extended through June 30. According to its website, the program also offers a discount of between $60 and $90 a year off eligible residents water bills. With so many people still feeling the financial fallout of the pandemic, every little bit helps.
