International, MNA | Dutch skaters had a big day on Saturday at the second ISU speed skating World Cup of the 2022-2023 season, winning three of the four gold medals on offer on home ice in Heerenveen.
Japan's Miho Takagi finished second in the women's 1,500 meters at the season's second World Cup speed skate meet on Nov. 19, with compatriot Wataru Morishige also winning silver in the men's 500.
Laurent Dubreuil, the reigning speed skating World Cup champion over 500 metres, was in winning form on Saturday, taking the men's race in 34.34 seconds, just 27-100ths off the track record in Heerenveen, Netherlands.
