LAURENTIAN VALLEY The Ottawa Valley Waste Management Board re-elected Laurentian Valley Mayor Steve Bennett as its chairman and Petawawa Councillor Tom Mohns as its vice-chairman at its March 18 meeting. Both are familiar with these positions as this year marks Bennett’s 18th year as board chairman and Mohns’ 16th year as vice-chairman.
The Ottawa Valley Waste Management Board is responsible for the operation and management of the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre on behalf of the partner municipalities of the Town of Petawawa, City of Pembroke, Township of Laurentian Valley and Township of North Algona Wilberforce. The waste management board is made up of a council member from each partner municipality.
