Taoiseachâs virtual St. Patrickâs Day Visit to the United States of America
Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD will participate in a programme of virtual events with the United States, from 15 to 17 March to celebrate Saint Patrickâs Day. The Taoiseach welcomes the opportunity to continue the tradition of marking the day together with our friends in the US, even though COVID-19 means that in-person meetings are not possible this year.
The traditional high-level political engagements in Washington D.C. will take place on St Patrickâs Day itself, Wednesday, 17 March. The Taoiseach will meet President Joe Biden.
Discussions are expected to cover a broad agenda of issues, including the deep ties between the United States and Ireland; combatting COVID-19 and driving recovery; and shared global challenges, including climate.
