How micro clinics could democratize Michigan vaccine rollout Elena Durnbaugh, Battle Creek Enquirer © Alyssa Keown | The Battle Creek Enquirer Syringes of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine are kept on ice on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at the Calhoun County Public Health Department Toeller building in Battle Creek, Mich. The Calhoun County Public Health Department is setting up so-called micro clinics to ensure that communities of color and underserved populations have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.  The micro clinics differ from the health department s mass vaccination clinics, where 600 to 1,000 people are vaccinated in a day. Instead, between 200 and 300 people are vaccinated at smaller locations throughout the community, such as churches.
