Man arrested after Wasagamack First Nation armed robbery


First Nation Safety Officers and other community members reported that they had encountered the suspect fleeing on foot and officers contained the area. After determining that he was inside his residence, police called the house and spoke with the suspect, who was cooperative and came outside where he was arrested without incident. The gun used in the robbery was located and determined to be a replica. Police also found the bandana he had been wearing and the stolen cigarettes.
Fletcher Wood is charged with robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief, property obtained by crime and possessing a firearm while prohibited. He was remanded into custody and island Lake RCMP continue investigating. ....
