Tributes are flooding in for Dustin Diamond, the 44-year-old former child star who died of lung cancer after being diagnosed just three weeks ago.
Many of the heartfelt messages have come from his castmates on Saved by the Bell, in which he played the beloved goofy character Screech. But while it may be his best-known role, the actor had a chequered history with the show, and a difficult life following his time as a 90s icon.

Someone is snatching people from the streets of Chicago, each time leaving an ornate photo album with a cover naming the victim and a proclaiming their salvation, e.g., “Tanya Was Saved.” This is the intriguing premise of the filmed-in-Chicago psychological thriller “100 Days to Live.” Although sometimes convoluted and occasionally implausible, this is a well-filmed and ambitiously creative first effort from writer-producer-director Ravin Gandhi, an entrepreneur and the CEO of GMM Nonstick Coatings, which is not your typical resume for an aspiring filmmaker but kudos to Gandhi for following his movie dreams and turning in an impressive debut.

“Once that worked, we knew anything would work and that happened the first season,” Engel told Us on Monday. “People who know me from my producing and writing know that I hate to have anything changed until I see it. He’d say, ‘Pete, let me try it this way.’ And I would say, ‘Eh, well, try it my way.’ Nine out of 10 times, we’d go with his way. Those who know me know that’s not my style.”
