Consumers Energy providing $3M in energy bill relief for Michigan residents

JACKSON, MI Consumers Energy will donate $3 million toward its Michigan customers’ energy bills this winter.
The statewide utility company will contribute the money to seven Michigan nonprofits to help manage customers’ gas and electric bills during the coldest months of the year, officials said in a Monday, Jan. 25 news release.
“We are committed to making sure our friends and neighbors receive every bit of help during this extraordinary time,” Brian Rich, Consumers Energy’s chief customer officer, said in a statement. “We expect our new $3 million contribution to seven Michigan nonprofits will help thousands of households
