To commemorate National Volunteer Month in April, 20 PECO employees volunteered and teamed up with United Way of Bucks County to assemble 60 personal care kits for families moving from homelessness into permanent housing. The event was held at the PECO Warminster Service Building’s outdoor parking lot, 413 Hood Blvd., in Fairless Hills.
The outreach effort support focuses on men, women and teens who reside in or receive services from local emergency shelters; adults with special needs; and adults and teens struggling with mental illness or addiction. The volunteers filled laundry baskets with paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies and other items.
