commute. and we ve seen plenty of rain working through with impressive rainfall rates. by the time we get into later parts of today, that area will see much quieter condition, but the midatlantaing down to the south will see stronger storms developing and heavy rain on top of that. it ll be a soggy couple of days as the system stalls out and the front becoming stationary. here s the area i want to pinpoint this afternoon into the evening hours for the potential for stronger storms and damaging hail and strong winds all on the table. we ve officially seen earth s hottest july on record. no surprise here. i don t think you have to tell anybody across the south this happened because we ve just been seeing such unprecedented conditions and on top of that we had record warming sea surface temperatures and record global sea ice. no surprise on either of those and we re off to a warm start for august as well. no surprise but deeply worrisome and worth understanding the peril posed by
