COLOMBO (News1st): The companies that have received lands for large scale cultivations near the Rambakan Oya forest reserve were revealed by a former parliamentarian on Wednesday.
“I have obtained information from the Mahaweli Authority through the Right to Information Act,” Wasantha Piyatissa, a former Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna parliamentarian said.
The details as revealed by the former lawmaker are as follows;
R.G.N Plantations Pvt Ltd., Nugegoda – 1000 acres (Maize Cultivation)
C.S.W. Herbal Plantations, Colombo 5 – 100 acres (Chena cultivation)
Delma Chicken and Agro Pvt. Ltd, Waradana Mallawa House – 500 acres (Maize Cultivation)
Pussella Meat Production Pvt Ltd, Battaramulla – 500 acres (Maize Cultivation) ....
