kayleigh: hello, everyone. this is outnumbered. i m kayleigh mcenany here with my cohost, emily compagno and harris faulkner. also joining us, ainsley earhardt, and fox news contributor and retired u.s. marine band tech, jerry jones. we begin with the two leading presidential candidates hitting the trail in pretty different ways this past weekend. in fact, on the one side you had president biden rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. it was a glitzy hollywood fund-raiser. the headlining stars included george clooney, julia roberts, and former president obama. by the time it was all over, the biden campaign added over $30 million to its war chest, breaking a democratic fund-raising record. i stress democratic, because recall former president trump beat that radio city fund-raiser. he holds the ultimate record. meanwhile, former president trump reached out to black voters during a roundtable discussion at a detroit church. he says biden s broken southern border is hur
so worried about losing that trump base but they can t win with just that base. so they are trying to figure out how to navigate. trump held a fundraiser just hours after his not guilty plea. and he raised about $2 million at bedminster. and trump s campaign says it raised more than $7 million since the indictment last week. the trump playbook is to fund raise off a felony indictment and it is working. yeah, and look, again when i say a settle of embattle himself and sense of sort of like being under siege is effective, it is true. and this shows in the numbers. if you send out a fundraising e mailing saying that the doj is after me, another indictment, another witch hunt, that opens the spigot to more donations. in the end this primary may come down to whose war coffers have
a an audience. and people who wanted to see the president had to travel to his clubs to see him. and they also ended up paying into the trump war coffers. it is gross and despicable. but i wonder, because you wrote a lot about this absolute fieldy. they are used and charged to protect him. you wrote there is almost a faction of trumpists that went along with the january 6th insurrection. what? i know. it s a little bit shocking. it s not shorking to the secret service friends. members of the detail are close to the penalty. that s going to happen. you will get close to somebody that you stand with at their vacation, in their most private moments. you will get to know that person and maybe like them.
