A handy website lets you search for walks - and even tells you if there s a cafe or pub nearby

After months in lockdown most of us are looking forward to getting out and about a bit more.
With restrictions lifting, it means we can now go a bit further afield to enjoy a family walk.
But if you don t know an area it can be a little tricky to find somewhere that s right for you - particularly if you ve got babies and little ones in tow. That s why the Greater Manchester Walking website, which features more than 200 walks, is proving such a hit with families.

As we emerge from a lockdown restrictions, Oldhamers are being urged to #GetOutThisMay by the Greater Manchester Walking Festival (GM Walking Festival).
No matter whether you’re a stroller, roamer, shuffler, moocher or a marcher the festival has something for everyone, with guides for those new to walking as well as regular striders!
Back for the seventh year, it runs from Saturday 1 - Monday, May 31 during National Walking Month, and offers ideas and inspiration to inspire everyone to get outside and explore towns, cities, the countryside, canals, riversides and parks across Oldham and beyond.
