National Trust says its 500 historic properties are at risk of drought, flooding and wildfires with climate change the single biggest threat to the charity s survival

The trust, which cares for 250,000 hectares of land, 780 miles of coastline and 220 gardens and parks, said approximately 71 per cent of the places it looks after could be at medium or high risk by 2060.
