United Win Two Trophies In A Day To Kick Off 2021

Wellington United kicked off the 2021 season
winning two trophies on Good Friday.The first was the Kelly
Cup, in its 48th year, making it the oldest Women s football
trophy in New Zealand.
The second was the
Commemorative Cup, the trophy that is on the line every time
we meet old rivals Miramar Rangers.In recent seasons the
Kelly Cup has become a pre-season competition and the
Diamonds were coming up against old foes Palmerston North
Marist. In getting to the final Diamonds had racked up 22
goals and conceded just one beating Petone Reserves 10-0, ....

New Samoa women's football coach dreaming of World Cup debut

The ex-Barbados international made over 100 appearances for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League following a career in England that included stints with Milwall, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
Ifill will remain in charge of the Wairarapa United women s team in New Zealand and is looking forward to his first role with a national team.
My main aim throughout my coaching career has always been to make everyone I work with better at what they do, whether it be the coaches, team managers or players, he said.
