State legislators in the state. we re talking about 10 million women who are not going to be able to have access of control over their bodies in these stations and going to have to go through macinations and travel long distances to have an abortion or d&c. all of a sudden we have government-mandated pregnancies. think about that. we had our republican colleagues clamoring for getting rid of mask mandates and it was they wanted to control their bodies and yet now a woman has no control over her uterus. and all of the reaction, congresswoman, we ve seen since the supreme court decision overturning roe/wade, it seems to have changed the political discourse in our country. do you see this having an impact ....
Those were people rising up to demand change. you know what? we backed away from. that beginning with the reagan years, we focused a lot more on this country on what can i do for me. markets are going to solve all problems. markets didn t, and half the ice in the arctic is melted now. we need to reassemble some of the people there at the beginning to back up the kids who are in the lead now and see if we can t make some change again. we have no choice because time is really, really short. yeah, time is short, and there is a pace for facts. you mention as well the way the structures work, which i think is something that the modern environmental movement improved on in efficacy. you got a deal with wall street, with the poisoned misinformation, which is its own toxic sludge before you get to whether you can have a factual conversation about tradeoffs. not all environmental policies are going to draw support. if i say, i m worry about school lunches i can t afford, that but ....
