Jews across the world are hesitating to commemorate Kristallnacht in light of the current bouts of antisemitism they face in the aftermath of Hamas’s attack.
Jews saw thousands of their synagogues, shops and homes destroyed by Nazi mobs on the night of November 9, 1938. While the world was shocked, there were no strong reactions in the aftermath of the pogroms.
