VVDN Technologies: VVDN’s partnership with Google Cloud for the Google Cloud Center of Excellence has resulted in the creation of the ICE solution, the company said, adding that it has over 250 Google Cloud-trained and certified engineers and architects.
Nokia: Originally, the DoT had notified the PLI scheme for telecom and networking products in February 2021 with an outlay of Rs 12,195 crore. A total 31 companies were given approval on October 14, 2021 for the scheme.
Viavi Solutions: “There are a lot of homegrown Indian companies, like Tejas Networks and Tata, Saankhya Labs, and VVDN…a lot of companies who are now, because of 5G, developing this technology,” he said. “We have been involved in helping them to develop the technology by way of testing.”
Including Bhagwati and VVDN, Intel has collaborated with Dixon Technologies, Kaynes Technology, Optiemus Electronics, Panache Digilife, Smile Electronics, and Syrma SGS, for its foray of making laptops here.
Being a fabless company that does not manufacture its own chips, AMD does not see opportunities in participating in the manufacturing sector as much. However, by helping local vendors such as VVDN in making servers and radio equipment, AMD is indirectly involved in transforming India into an electronics manufacturing hub, said Garcia.
