BBMP took up renovation work more than a year back. Work started in December 2022 and has been ongoing. Inspired by the facelift given to Church Street and Commercial Street, the Palike proposal involves turning the VV Puram food street that sees heavy footfall into a more organised avenue for food lovers.
The VV Puram food street is an iconic street spread across a 200-metre stretch, where one can find food from a variety of cuisines ranging from South to North Indian and even Chinese. In the evenings, the stretch is crowded with people milling about spoilt for choice of food.
