I wrote a breaking news story Tuesday afternoon on the now-super-official President-elect Joe Biden choosing former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg to run the Department of Transportation in his administration. And Jennifer Oliver O’Connell shared a particularly embarrassing reason in a later piece why Buttigieg might not make the best transportation secretary, since he could barely handle a similar role in his last job in a small, Midwestern city.

This is the spot along Mississippi Avenue in North Portland where armed insurrectionists have taken over a neighborhood to stop a foreclosure of a house – in a foreclosure that actually happened two years ago.
The stunned reporters expect understanding, appeasement from the mob, help from official Portland, and appreciation of their constitutionally protected, God-given right to cover the news.

Portland DA Says He'll Prosecute Antifa After He Let Them Go

The armed antifa and BLM militants who have taken over a Portland neighborhood have been warned by the district attorney that he’ll prosecute them. That sound you hear is the laughter coming from the “occupiers” who have
already been arrested and released by Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt.
On Friday evening, Schmidt issued a statement about the takeover of the so-called “red house,” an appropriate name given the politics of the armed group of militants.
