The Meat and Poultry Inspection Readiness Grant program assists currently operational meat and poultry slaughter and processing facilities in obtaining a Federal Grant of Inspection, or to operate as a State-inspected facility that is compliant with federal standards under a respective Cooperative Interstate Shipment program. The Economic Recovery Bridge program, which provides grants to businesses that have suffered a net loss due to the pandemic, has expanded its eligibility. Businesses that have received prior state and/or federal funds are now eligible to apply. In order to receive funds, applicants must be able to demonstrate that the business experienced a net loss in 2020, greater than any net loss reported in 2019. Funds are disbursed on a first come, first served basis.
