After 40 years in teaching, a career he loved, Roy Hewett turned 65, and retirement was not an option. He was forced to pack his briefcase, tidy his desk and wish pupils and colleagues at one of East London’s most successful schools, Hudson Park Park School, good bye. Not only was he forced to pack in his headmastership but he was left jobless.
Black Business Forum president Luthando Bara has paid tribute to East London businessman Vrij Harry, who died on Friday. Harry, owner of Harry’s Printers, died of a suspected heart attack in Johannesburg. He had left East London to visit family there on Thursday. “It is with great sadness that we learnt the news of the passing of leading entrepreneur Vrij Harry, ,” Bara said on Friday evening.
