Speed limit lowered on Athens seaside road Search for: The speed limit on a section of a major road in Athens will be reduced from 80km/h to 70km/h, in an effort to reduce severe and fatal accidents. Attica’s Regional Authority voted to reduce the speed limit on Vouliagmenis Avenue, between Alimou and Poseidonos Avenues which runs along the seaside. According to a study, by reducing the speed limit by 10 kilometres, there would be a 10% reduction in accidents with injuries and 20% reduction of fatalities. It also showed that there were environmental benefits such as lower nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide emissions, lower hydrocarbon emissions, less noise, and reduced ozone formation. ....

Located in Heraklion on Crete, the hotel will be renovated in two phases (during the winter of 2020 / 2021 and 2021 / 2022) and is planned to re-open in April 2021 as the Sentido Unique Blue Resort. ....
New luxury hotels coming to Greece’s hospitality market Add Greece’s field of luxury hotels will see several new openings following transactions and developments that took place in 2020. Cretan Investments Group (CIG) Hellas obtained its first hotel, Iti AKS Minoa Palace. Located in Heraklion on Crete, the hotel will be renovated in two phases and is planned to re-open in April 2021 as the Sentido Unique Blue Resort. Also, in November 2020, Lamda Development and TEMES S.A. announced a strategic agreement for the joint development of two state of the art, luxury hotels and residential complexes on the coastal front of Hellinikon during the first five-year phase of the investment project. This strategic agreement conceives the development of a 5-star hotel at the Agios Kosmas marina, as well as a second beachfront 5-star luxury hotel along the coastal front.
