Live entertainment fans were given a much-needed dose of good news on Friday evening when the co-owners revealed they have formed a partnership with concert promoter DSP Shows of Ithaca, New York. DSP Shows has booked a number of shows at Western Massachusetts like Gateway City Arts, the Academy of Music in Northampton and Springfield Symphony Hall. ....

But the Massachusetts International Festival of the Arts is still pulling together the funding that will allow construction on the long-awaited project to begin, and no date for the work has been set. The project has garnered $31 million in state and federal tax credits $15 million shy of the estimated $46 million construction cost. ....
