3.8-km walkway to connect various facilities in city
Will the 3.8-km covered skywalk aimed at hassle-free movement of pedestrians and connecting the Secretariat, KSRTC bus terminal and Central railway station make it to the Budget as the alignment has been finalised?

Govt. drops move to take over DM WIMS


To set up own medical college in Wayanad
The State government has dropped the proposal to take over the private medical college hospital DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences (DM WIMS).
A high-level meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Thursday decided to find government-owned land in Wayanad to set up a new government medical college.
The government had earlier engaged a committee headed by the Chief Secretary to examine a proposal to take over the DM WIMS and to convert it into a government medical college. However, the suggestions put forth by the DM Educational Research Foundation, which own the DM WIMS, were impractical and unacceptable. ....

New Delhi [India], December 24 (ANI): Kerala Chief Secretary Vishwas Mehta approached the Supreme Court against the state High Court s order which raised the number of permissible daily pilgrims at the popular Sabarimala Temple to 5,000.
Yes, the state Chief Secretary had moved the Apex Court challenging the High Court order, raising the number of permissible daily pilgrims at the Sabarimala Temple to 5,000, G Prakash, standing counsel for the state of Kerala government, told ANI.
The Kerala High Court in its judgment on December 18, 2020, disposed a batch of writ petitions and directed the Government of Kerala to increase the number of pilgrims from 2,000 to 5,000 per day visiting the Sabarimala Shrine during the festival season starting from December 20, 2020. ....
