HOLLAND Tulips are the star of the show during Tulip Time, so it s no surprise visitors and Holland natives alike want to take home something of the tulip for themselves.
It could be an album of photos from their visit to Windmill Island or in the case of those who attended one of the art classes this year a beautifully painted vase to hold a bouquet of tulips.
Local artist Carolyn Stich, whose bright and bold designs have been chosen twice to be Tulip Time s official festival poster, led classes in painting on glass and canvas during this year s festival. ....

Tulip Time's Virtual Artisan Market 'going very well'

HOLLAND The Artisan Market at Tulip Time typically brings 200 vendors and hundreds of shoppers to Holland’s Centennial Park, buying and selling a multitude of handmade goods.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the festival had to find another way to allow vendors to showcase their products, and for the festival goers to shop.
The solution was to create the Tulip Time Virtual Artisan Market, with 75 vendors listed on the festival’s website. So far, the altered format has been a success.
“So far it seems to be going very well,” said Kim VanderMolen, event planner for the Tulip Time Artisan Market said Wednesday, May 5. “The artists are very happy with it and the way they are displayed on the website. We have heard back from some vendors who said they are getting great sales from it, so that’s exciting. We have also heard from some shoppers who have said they enjoy being able to shop from home as well.” ....

HOLLAND, Mich. â Tulip Time Festival is accepting applications for this yearâs Virtual Artisan Market â and the deadline is quickly approaching.
Based on current health guidelines, festival organizers moved the market, which typically hosts 200 vendors and thousands of visitors, to an online format, according to a news release Wednesday.
The Virtual Artisan Market will offer artists the opportunity to get their products in front of thousands of people for an extended period of time.
Itâll run from April 24 to May 9.
Organizers say TulipTime.com has historically received 400,000 visitors and 1.9 million page views, with the height of web traffic happening around April and May. ....
