정미소. 1년 내내 풍요가 넘치는 곳이다. 벼를 수확하는 가을은 물론 봄, 여름, 겨울에도 가을을 느끼게 한다. 노란 벼가 현미를 거쳐 하얀 쌀로 탈바꿈하는 모습은 보기만 해도 저절로 배가 불러온다.
정미소는 과거 가난한 시골에선 부의 상징이었다. 시골마을에서 거의 유일하게 찾아볼 수 있는 공장이었다. 1980년대 초반까지만 해도 농촌에선 정미소와 양조장(술도가), 과수원집 주인을 3대 부자로 꼽았다. 술도가는 주류제조 면허가 있어야 했기� ....
