Salem resident Urbain Michodigni, a sales consultant at Volvo Cars Danvers, was recently named a 2020 Volvo Excellence Award Winner, an honor given to the top 100 Volvo sales consultants in the country.
He has been a sales consultant at Volvo Cars Danvers, part of Village Automotive Group, for almost two years. Michodigni was born and raised in Benin, a French-speaking West African nation, and he came to the U.S. in 2014 to attend Salem State University, studying English as a second language.
Alongside his studies, Michodigni worked part-time at a local Salem restaurant quickly moving up from dishwasher to pizza chef in just a few months. In April 2019, he met Emilio LoCilento, the general sales manager at Volvo Cars Danvers, at one of their hiring classes.
