Greater Noida: Upset over being denied a party ticket for the upcoming panchayat polls, the representative of BJP’s Noida MP Dr Mahesh Sharma has resigned from his post and filed his nomination as an independent candidate. Satyapal Singh Talan is now set for a fight against the BJP’s candidate in the polls. The saffron party has fielded Amit Chaudhary from ward number 5 of the zila panchayat.
Talan, a Jewar local, has expressed his displeasure over the party’s decision to field an “outsider” in the area. “I had told the high command that a candidate from the region be brought for the polls and it will be fine, but if an outsider is given candidature, we will be upset,” he told a local news channel.
