Vidarbha rains: More than 100 mm downpour in Akola; flood waters recede in Yavatmal and Buldhana

Heavy rains in Maharashtra s Vidarbha region have led to floods and lightning which have caused the death of 11 people and damaged over 1,600 houses. The rainfall has also affected over 875 hectares of agriculture land in the area which encompasses the districts of Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli. Various reports have also indicated that around 110 people were rescued in the village of Anandnagar Tanda and approximately 100 people had to be shifted to safer places in Katargaon village in the region s Buldhana district. ....
