We have the latest from the live news desk. First we are waking up awaiting the results of the election. So far its too close to call. Taking a live at the white house right now. Counting continued throughout the night as the race for the president hinges on battleground states this morning. Here is a look at the current map. The president and former Vice President still well short of the necessary 270 votes needed to secure a victory. Several key voting places will not announce until today or tomorrow. Joe biden was expected to cruise to a an easy win in california. That victory was easy. 65 to 33 with 94 of precincts reporting. And despite key states still counting votes the president expressed confidence that he has won overnight. Cbs news hasnt projected a winner. We have more on where the two camps
