Victorville pair arrested after robbery at Super Walmart in Hesperia Victorville Daily Press Authorities on Wednesday reported that Marquis Denham and Maice Mitchell, both 20-year-old Victorville residents, were arrested on suspicion of robbing the Super Walmart in Hesperia. The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station said that at approximately 10:34 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the report of a robbery at the Walmart located at 13401 Main Street. According to sheriff s officials, deputies discovered that a man and woman, later identified as Denham and Mitchell, entered the location and purchased items at the self-checkout while allegedly not paying for other merchandise they collected while in the store.

Deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 16500 block of D Street, where the reporting party saw a male subject enter a 2019 BMW that had been parked outside a business and drive away, the sheriff’s report said.

San Bernardino man suspected of kidnapping after theft of hairdryer in Apple Valley Victorville Daily Press A San Bernardino man faces several possible charges, including kidnapping, after authorities said he ordered a victim at gunpoint to drive him back to an Apple Valley store from which he had just shoplifted a hairdryer. Aaron Munoz, 28, was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of kidnapping and possession of a controlled substance while armed, among other allegations. He remained in custody Friday afternoon in lieu of $250,000 bail, booking records showed. According to court records, Munoz faces felony charges of assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, and being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm. Misdemeanor charges include resisting a peace officer and shoplifting.
